'Good Things Bright Eyes Eye Cream' Review

Hello Lovelies!

Due to my hereditary dark circles under my eyes, I decided to *finally* do something about them, as piling a heap of concealer onto my under eye area everyday was becoming slightly wearing.

I have tried the 'Good Things Face Wipes' before. They smelt heavenly but irritated my skin and the smell went to a kind of stale raspberry smell after a couple of weeks.

Not having much luck with the face wipes I decided to chance it and purchase the 'Good Things Eye Cream'.
On the back of the pack it says to apply every morning and night, which I have been doing for the past few weeks. Besides the product smelling, once again, heavenly, I haven't noticed much of a difference. I have read some other really good reviews about this product, and I think it is a good product as I have noticed a slight difference.

Despite some negativity I have found this product very soothing on my under eye area and I has reduced puffiness, just not dark circles.

I would totally recommend this product to anyone looking to get rid of puffy under eye area, but not to combat dark circles.

'Good Things Bright Eyes Eye Cream' is £5.99 which is a pretty good price me thinks.

I hope you've found my review helpful! Let me know in the comments your experience of this product and any under eye creams you have loved/hated!

Prom!

Prom and the end of school have finally come around! Only feels like yesterday I was saying, 'Its prom in a year, what shall I wear!?' (Very forward planning I know!;) ) At the moment I'm in the midst of my GCSEs... not fun. Less than a month to go and then a summer full of blogging!

So finally I have decided to write a blog post to give you some makeup/ dress inspiration if you have a prom up and coming. Or maybe this post will give you some ideas even if your prom is a year or two away! When it comes to prom I'm very forward planning, any excuse to get dressed up and I'm there!

Eye Makeup

1- Topshop eye crayon in 'Marble.' In love with Topshop's eye crayons at the moment! Works as such a good base for any eyeshadow and adds that extra bit of glitter.
2- Collection 2000 Extreme felt tip liner. Felt tip liners are the easier type of eyeliner to use, especially if you have a shaky hand (like me)
3- Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara- So volumizing and a really good price considering the quality of the product (being very good!)

Colour 1- I put this shimmery goldy colour all over my lid on top of my Topshop Marble eye crayon (see below) to add some extra sparkle.
Colour 2- I used this colour in the outer third of my eye to add some definition
Colour 3- I used this colour in the inner corner of my eye
Colour 4- I used this colour in my crease (and also as an eyebrow fill in!)

Face
My prom makeup plan (obviously not quite as red on the cheeks!)

17 BB cream in Medium- I LOVE this make of BB cream! It's has such a smooth finish without being shiny, perfect for photographs!

Topshop 'Morning Dew' cream blusher- I recently purchased this product and I've completely fallen in love with it! Admittedly it does look like a bit of a bright scary colour, but blended out it looks so pretty and natural with a hint of shimmer!

 Lips

MAC  Crosswires  lipstick- I also recently purchased my very first MAC lipstick! *rejoice!* This colour is so pretty with a hint of gloss. It stays on for ages which saves constantly reapplying. It is a similar colour to my dress but not matching.

Dress

Sorry about the awful photo!

Black strip round the bodice with bow and black sequins
I purchased this dress in Jane Norman for £50... bargain!

My shoes are from Barratts for £20! Another bargain!

Overall prom was great and everyone looked so gorgeous! I hope you have enjoyed this post and found it helpful if you are getting prepared for prom! :)

Get the Bohemian look!

Summer, the festival season, is rapidly approaching (hallelujah!) If you are like me and are looking for a new look this summer then look no further than the bohemian (boho) look!

Vanessa Hudgens (you know her, she's in Spring Breakers... I soo wanna see this film!) rocks the boho look nearly everywhere she goes!

This look is 100% Vanessa Hudgens inspired.
I love this chilled out, summery look and I'm desperate to give it a go! So here's a lil' post for y'all if you, like me, are looking for a new summer look. You never know the Boho look could be perfect for you!

When researching the boho style there was about a zillion shops I could've gone to, so I've limited my recommended boho clothes to just one shop, Topshop. Obviously the clothes I have recommended are just to give you some idea/inspiration for boho clothes and Topshop is a great place to start... (aside from being a bit on the pricey side!)

Clothing

Boho style clothing is all about the tie dyes, floaty skirts and maxi dresses- perfect for summer and festival go-ers! To check out Topshop's 'festival' range click here.

Accessories/Shoes

Accessories are vital if your choosing to go boho. I am a complete jewelry addict!- I think it completes an outfit (especially if it's sparkly!) In case you didn't spot, the bag in this picture matches one of the dresses in the 'clothing' picture, so if you want to be really coordinated then why not purchase both!?

And lastly, hair. Hair is really simple, just a flowery headband will finish the boho look.

I haven't included the prices or names of these items as if you go to my 'Wantworthy' list all these products, their price and any info will be on there: http://www.wantworthy.com/laurakingston/groups/Boho%20blog%20post

I hope this post has given you some bohemian inspiration for the summer :)
Not long to go till summer now!

Catchup and a spot of baking...

Hiya everyone :)

I haven't blogged for ages so I thought I'd do a lil' catchup post! I have my Easter holidays now for the next few weeks which is fab a break from school is much need! This week I'll also post a spring makeup tutorial for y'all!- a makeup tutorial finally! So, lets have a chat...:)

It is freezing in England at the moment and I'm so desperate for some sun I find my self streaming WeHeartIt for some tropical looking pictures. I am craving summer more than ever before, the smell of sunscreen, long hot days & nights, BBQs and sun tans. And most importantly summery makeup!- golden, yellow glittery eyeshadows and natural tanned beach bum looks. So for those of you who feel the same way as me here's some pictures to hopefully make you feel tropical for a second:

Now hows about some foody talk. Last week I decided to bake a cake! Well 2 cakes actually, a Lemon Drizzle and a Coffee Cake. So when I decided to make these to cakes I was expecting the end product to look something like this...

My cakes didn't quite end up looking quite THIS good but they still turned out pretty fab (bearing in mind I'm no where near the world's best at baking!) Also it's very important that when cooking you put your hair in the highest, sexiest bun possible (heavy sarcasm) here's my bun:
Just make sure you don't forget you have your hair in this
amazing bun and go out the house like this or you may get some
weird looks (I am speaking from experiance) ;)

My cakes!
Lemon Drizzle

Coffee Cake

Not quite tea room standard but I tried! and they tasted pretty good :) If you would like to see a recipe for either of these cakes let me know in the comments down below.

Next up fashion! I have recently joined this website called 'Wantworthy'. It's a great website and the purpose of it is so if you see something (eg an item of clothing from Topshop) you can add it to your wantworthy list. It really helps me keep track of all the summer fashions and makeup that I need to start saving up for. You can even follow my wantworthy list if you like :) So go check it out, its great!

Now for musicccc :D
The Way- Ariana Grande ft. Mac Miller
High Hopes - kodaline
Radioactive- Imagine Dragons (featured in the host trailer. Desperate to see this film!)
22- Taylor Swift

I hope you've enjoyed this fairly random post! Now for a week of revision, I swear it's never ending! Also look out for my tutorial in the coming week :)
As you probably know if you read my posts regularly, I like to end these slightly random posts with a positive picture to make you smile this week...

Get the Look: Cara Delevingne

Hiya guys!
Long time no see! I'm really sorry about my lack of posting lately but I have had so much work on recently, but at last I've found some time for a spot of blogging :)

Ever since London Fashion Week I have been inspired by so many looks, especially model of the moment, Cara Delevingne. I love how she can switch her look so easily from 'laid back' to glamour. If, like me, you have been loving her look then here's all you need to do to get it :)

The look I'm doing is inspired by this photo, when she was at the British Fashion Awards:

Makeup:

Brows are optional depending on how dark your eyebrows already are, but if you choose to do brows I recommend the BareMinerals Brow Palette :)

Hair
For hair just do a simple middle parting and boost it up with L'Oreal Salt Spray
This stuff is insanely good and gives hair so much texture :)

I hope you've enjoyed this post and it has given you some Cara Delevingne style ideas! Sorry it was only a quick one but I must crack on with my revision!
Hope you're all having a great March wherever you are :)
